How much do small business spend internet marketing services on average per month?

I know this question can be kinda vague but I’m just curious because I have to price services for a new company I’m working for… All I know is they are not charging ENOUGH!!
How much would a package fee normally run for?
Email marketing
Video Marketing
Social Media Marketing.
How much is it to run a ad in the yellow pages or the news paper?
I know business will pay for marketing because thats how they live… does anyone know stats for how many business are online? and how fast they are catching on???

but over all its min 5000 / month for SEO and email marketing.
Social media and video is going to be more higher. But it is not general it is different as per industry.

It is extremely important for small business owners to market their services both online and offline. As for the budget, I think it depends on the company. For instance, a small one person firm advertising their writing services might have a budget of $100 a month for advertising whereas a PR firm that employs 100 people might have a $1000 a month average. Basically, the budget will depend on the competition, how much money the owner can afford and how strong conversions are. For instance, if you have a really good sales letter then it makes sense to advertise it because you know it will convert. On the other hand, if you’re not sure if it will convert or not, it would be better to test the market with a cheaper ad. My advice is for you to do competitive research on competitors, evaluate your business and then figure out how much you can realistically spend per month on advertising. I personally would put more time and energy into online marketing than offline but that’s just me.
Price of email / video marketing is $0.001 to $0.01 per email, it depends on the company and the quality of services. But, one can promote their businesses for free also, no need to pay anything. They have to do some work only like directory submission (example http://www.directory.ac ), article submission, forum posting, blog commenting, social marketing etc.
