PostHeaderIcon Project Cycle Management in terms of development project?

How Project Cycle Management method can be used as a tool to introduce sustainability, participation, ownership and institutions interm of development into project management

By introducing or reinforcing PM methods and processes, we establish a tool to introduce all of these activities.

- By having an established process, one hopefully vetted against industry standards, we don’t have to "reinvent the wheel" each time we do a project.

- By using the PM processes associated with requirements gathering and effective meetings, we ensure that all needed participants are heard from when they can be most effective – at the beginning vs. the end of a project

- By following PM process and getting sign-off from stakeholders at inception, phase gates, and delivrable final acceptance, we increase the likelihood of project ownership among the particpants

the project manager should assess and control the risk at all stages of the project

and that covers all risks – cost risks, health and safety risks etc

PostHeaderIcon Homemade folding scope mount for a Kel-Tec sub2000 rifle

My father shared his interest of mounting an optic (he picked a tru-glo 2X red dot) on his sub2000, but didn’t want to lose the rifle’s folding ability, or to need to remove the optic and/or mount to fold it. I told my cousin about the idea (we are both machinists), and within a day he called me with the idea of using a spring-loaded door hinge. Well, I headed of to the hardware store, and found a 4″ spring door hinge for $15.00, and it even came with a nice black powder coat! The spring’s tension is adjustable, and quite powerful on it’s lowest adjustment (which I used). It simply mounts to a steel plate inside the front handguard, and has a 1913 style rail screwed into the other side. All of the work was fairly simple to do with a manual vertical mill, and only took about 2 1/2 hours. As I state in the video, I recommend tapping the holes on the mounting plate a bit closer to the edges, just to keep the clearance holes in the handguard a bit further from the edges (where they meet in the center). Anyway, it has worked great for us so far, with several hundred rounds down range, with no stray from zero. Feel free to put this video wherever you like, and if you are interested in a copy of my plans, just send me a message, and I’m sure we can work something out. Thank you all for watching, please enjoy, and subscribe to see any future projects. -proto-
